Veteran singer, Sunny Nneji has expressed his satisfaction with the performance of three Nigerian artistes – Flavour, P-Square and Tekno, describing them as “good ambassadors of the music industry.”
The veteran singer said he was happy about the development and it showed that he did not waste his time being the pioneer of the music genre.
“When I see what Flavour, P-Square, Tekno and others are doing, it makes me feel proud. It makes me feel like I was not wasting my time all this while because they are following in my footsteps. It also shows how important our indigenous music is. You can run around and do other forms of music because sometimes my music is eclectic but predominantly, I need to connect with my immediate audience. I am happy with the fact that the younger generation have embraced hip-life music. It makes me feel proud because I have been a pioneer of it,” he said.
The artiste who recently released a new song, ‘Aeroplane Turner,’ addressed the hardship Nigerians are currently facing and proffered some solutions through the song. He further hinted that his album was near completion and he has collaborations with artistes like CDQ and Phyno.
