Federal government cuts fertilizer price by 50%

The federal government has approved the payment of $703 million to agro-dealers to ensure seamless distribution of fertilizers to farmers.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Audu Ogbeh said the government is working on measures that will further crash the price of fertilizer by 50 per cent.

Ogbe said the presidential initiative on fertilizer distribution will help farmers to get inputs at affordable prices.
