The National Chairman of the crisis-plagued Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, senator Ali Modu Sheriff has branded members against the recent peace roadmap proposed by the governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson as enemies of the party.
TVC News Correspondent Carl Ofonye reports that it is the second time in two months that the strong man of Agbor politics, Honourable Kairo Ojougbo is hosting the factional PDP national chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff.
The first one being when he hosted the embattled national chairman who came on a familiarisation tour of Delta State chapter of the PDP. That was a day before the appeal court held that Ali Modu Sheriff is the authentic chairman of PDP.
For the Journalists in Delta State who knew of the PDP national chairman’s coming, it was an opportunity to get his reactions to Markaffi group’s opposition to Governor Seriake Dickson’s recent peace proposal.
And the former governor of Borno State famous for news making did not disappoint the anxious and probing Journalists.
The controversial politician also took a swipe at his members insinuating that he is working for the ruling All Progressives Congress APC to retain power in 2019.
His deputy, Kairo Ojougbo maintained a similar posture. He specifically ruled out the possibility of his principal stepping down as national chairman for peace to reign.
With this hard stance, peace seems from the political party that once branded itself the biggest in Africa.
