Justice Ibrahim Buba of a federal high court in Lagos has vacated the interim order suspending the premiere and subsequent release of the movie ‘Okafor law’.
The court refused an injunction to stop the premier which is slated for Friday march the 31st.
Jude Idada, a Canadian based scriptwriter had accused Omoni Oboli the producer of the movie of using his intellectual property without giving him due credit.
He filed an exparte motion last week to stop the premiere which the court granted.
But the defence while arguing its counter affidavit urged the court to allow the movie premiere and release so it won’t contravene the rights of third parties who had advertised and those who have paid to watch the movie.
