Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has restated the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring adequate development of the Niger Delta.
Professor Osinbajo gave this assurance during his visit to Rivers state, as part of his tour of the Niger Delta.
He was received by the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike who led the federal government delegation to inspect some ongoing projects in various parts of the state.
The highpoint of the acting president’s visit was the town hall meeting at the rivers state government house with stakeholders in the state cutting across the traditional institution, women, men and youth groups.
For Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike the key strategy to unlocking the economic potentials of the state lies in rehabilitation of the seaports and Port Harcourt international airport.
Reacting to issues raised at the stakeholders engagement forum, the acting President assured that urgent attention would be given to them.
