Nigeria’s Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo says the Federal Government is partnering with Communities of Oil producing States, Oil companies and the private sector to bring development to Oil-bearing communities of the Niger Delta Region.
At a town hall meeting in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital, Osinbajo told the people that the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and Oil Companies are already working on a Forty Point agenda for the Communities.
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo arrived the newly constructed Bayelsa Heliport and commissioned the Project.
Professor Osinbajo proceeded to the Bayelsa Traditional Rulers Council where he got a rousing welcome and received a Staff – Of – Office from the Chairman.
The DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall was the venue of the town hall meeting where various issues where raised in the search for peace in the Oil – rich Niger Delta Region.
Major Speakers at the town hall meeting highlighted concerns bordering on Insecurity,Lack of Economic Empowerment and Negligence by the oil companies, but it looks like Acting President Osinbajo came prepared.
