Ogun: Awori indigenes appeal for creation of zone

Notable sons and daughters of Awori land and Isheri have called on the Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to consider creation of Awori zone and a separate traditional council for them in order to eliminate the marginalization they are facing presently.

They made this known during the inauguration of a community newspaper meant for the promotion of the culture and development in Awori land both
in Ogun and Lagos state.

Speaking about the reason why Awori people deserve a separate traditional council, the Olofin of Isheri said some of the traditional rulers in
Ado-Odo/Ota are under Egba division while others are under Yewa traditional council.i
