According to several reports, fitness expert Maje Ayida has filed a lawsuit against Toke Makinwa weeks after he threatened that he was going to do so if she did not cease the publicity for her tell-all memoir “On Becoming” which he claimed was defamatory.
The CableNG reports that through his legal team, Maje has initiated legal proceedings at the Lagos judicial division of the high court, Lagos state.
Maje’s lawyer, Kemi Pinheiro (SAN) of Pinheiro LP, revealed that the publishers of the memoir – Kachifo Limited – are also named in the lawsuit.
Maje is reportedly demanding N100million in the lawsuit.
He has also requested that the court donates the damages awarded him to four charities which will be nominated by him.
