The European Union has launched a grant worth 70 million euros to support the health sector in Nigeria.
The grant is expected to take care of issues surrounding maternal and child health, eradication of polio myelitis, malnutrition and infrastructure within five states of the federation.
Key players in the health sector at the event in Abuja say they are optimistic, that the implementation of the grant, in Adamawa, Anambra, Bauchi, Kebbi and Sokoto will go along way in ensuring an effective strengthening of the health care system in Nigeria.
