Scores of fleeing members of Boko Haram terror group have been killed by a joint force of local hunters and the military in a gun battle at Gatha village along Sambisa forest.
The Chief Security, Nigerian Hunters Association Adamawa State chapter, Mr. Garba Tarfa made the disclosure in Yola.
He said four Boko Haram members were arrested with two AK47 riffles, six dane guns and large numbers of livestock were recovered during the battle.
He added that within December and January this year, no fewer than 40 females were rescued from Sambisa forest by his men.
Some of the rescued victims who spoke in vernacular with reporters in Yola appealed to government for aid and assistance.
