TVC E. Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has revealed that she is now a born again christian and is not ashamed of it.
Tonto Dikeh who is fondly called the Poko Queen by her fans on social media recently got married to Oladunni Churchill, who also said she was a son to Olusegun Obasanjo admitted that she back slided but is now back with Christ.
Tonto has always been known to be very controversial but says she now has a smooth relationship with Jesus Christ and is a born again christian.
“I have always been a very good Christian, I would say that I back slided, but I have come back to Christ and I have immersed myself in him again, I can now say I’m born again.”
“It doesn’t mean I cannot enjoy my life, I cannot be the entertainer that I want to be, but I now live a good Christian life, but I have always had a Christian orientation.”
She said people keep judging her for roles she plays in various movies, adding that she should not be judge based on fiction.
“You cannot judge me for my job; that is a job. Instead of me getting upset, I get really happy that I must be a very wonderful artiste, for you to see a movie and say that’s how she is”.
She also revealed that she has really enjoyed her way to the top, not having to go through the hassles of auditions and all sorts to get to where she is today.
As a graduate, Dikeh said she can always dust up her certificate and use it at any time, referring to what she had as the “double blessing” of being an entertainer and an engineer.
It seems more Nollywood actresses are becoming born again. It would be recalled that Eucharia Anunobi became an evangelist, followed by Patience Ozokwo and now Tonto Dike.
