The Nigeria Police Force has promised to make certain that the December 10th legislative rerun election in Rivers State is secured.
The inspector general of Police disclosed that no fewer than 20,000 Police Officers, will be deployed to supervise the process.
Ibrahim Idris disclosed this in Kano State, North-West Nigeria.
The IGP says 20 gunboats and 3 helicopters will be re-deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the election.
Idris charged Police Officers who will be posted to monitor the election, not to be selective in their provision of adequate security of lives and property in the state.
