A group of Nigerians with expertise on elections has charged government and security agencies to create an enabling environment for INEC to conduct Saturday’s rerun election in Rivers state.
The Nigeria Election Working Group also urged the nation’s election management body to be adequately prepared and transparent in conducting the election.
The group spoke in Abuja at the end of its maiden business meeting.
Addressing newsmen, Convener of the Group described the prolonged difficulty in conducting legislative elections in Rivers state as an
embarrassment to the country.
