The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers state has accused the All Progressives Congress of plotting to arrest key members of the party, in a bid to prevent it from challenging the results of the December the 10th legislative rerun election, in court.
But as Correspondent Edmund Awadje reports, the state chapter of the APC has denied the allegation.
The Rivers state rerun legislative elections may have come and gone, but the two major political parties are still at each other’s throat.
The latest is the PDP accusing the APC of plans to generate and spread text messages in connivance with a telecommunications company so as to arrest its members and prevent the party from challenging the results of the rerun polls in court.
But swiftly, the APC faulted the allegation saying it has no reason to do such.
As the accusations continue between both parties, residents of Rivers state are calling on the PDP and APC to sheath their swords and allow for the development of the state.
