TVC E. Nigerian senate rejects Ibrahim Magu’s nomination as EFCC chairman who has been serving in acting capacity since November 2015.
The nomination of Ibrahim Magu as the Chairman of antigraft agency, EFCC was disputed by senators this morning.
According to the senate spokesperson, Magu was rejected because of a security report it received. However the details about the the security report was not disclosed.
Senator of Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye and the Majority leader of the house, Ali Ndume, exchanged hot words when Magu’s screening was called up.
Ndume who is from Borno as Magu, was in support of his confirmation while Melaye was totally against it.
