Fair-skinned Nigerian traditional gospel singer, Peace Osirim has released her second album titled ‘Testify’.
“My second album is entitled, Testify. I wrote Nga Ngan on it. It means making shakara. I want to thank God for all He has done. I have Ebube, Praise Jehovah, Holy Spirit and a whole lot of other songs in the album. I also sang a praise song in Urhobo,” the traditional singer disclosed this to newsmen on Saturday.
Speaking on how her singing career began, the singer said she would like to feature Tope Alabi in one of her songs someday, saying she never knew she would be a singer.
“I never knew I would be a singer. I started when I was quite young. We would discuss an issue and I would turn it into a song. My grandma was a singer. I can remember that she had several albums she released before passing on. Officially, I started singing four years ago. I do gospel music. I call myself a traditional gospel singer.
“I know life has its ups and down, so also is music. I thank God for everything all the same. I am not here because of the money, I just want people to hear my song and be blessed. I draw inspiration from everywhere.
“After I dropped my first album, I took my mind off music but people started challenging me to release another album. I had no song for a new album then, but I prayed to God and told Him if He really wanted me to continue singing, He should give me inspiration. That was how it started flowing. Apart from that experience, I draw inspiration from life experience, things around me” she narrated.
