The Amazing Grace Pentecostal Church, Palmgrove, Lagos, celebrated her 20th anniversary with plenty music, comedy and dance.
The church, known for its regular spiritual, financial and material support to prisoners, widows and indigent members of the society, brought together gifted and promising stars in the gospel entertainment industry who thrilled the large gathering of members and well-wishers that turned up for the special occasion.
As early as 8:30 am, the church auditorium had been filled to its brim with gaily dressed men and women – most of whom had come from far and near to be a part of the historic and colourful event.
According guests, who spoke with our Correspondent at the end of the ceremony, expressed satisfaction with the talent of the young gospel artistes that performed during the occasion.
“I never knew that in the house of God, one can also laugh to great jokes, listen to good music and even watch amazing dance moves. A lot of the young gospel artistes who performed at this event really tried. They in fact added colour to the entire occasion,” Abraham Odikpo, a guest at the ceremony, said.
Host and founder of AGPC, Bishop Chioma Dauji, said as part of their mandate from God, they would continue to support the underprivileged in the society and also support youths to fulfill their potential in every form including becoming notable stars in the Nigerian gospel entertainment industry.
