The Federal Executive Council, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved the 2017 Appropriation Bill.
The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma, disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting that lasted about six hours on Wednesday.
The Minister said the meeting lasted for more hours than usual as a result of extensive deliberations on the 2017 budget ahead of President Buhari’s presentation to the National Assembly..
Udoma maintained that the details of the document as approved by FEC would be made public when the president presents the budget to the National Assembly.
The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, said council also approved the commencement of the Federal Secretariat complex in Ekiti State.
