Chelsea made it 8th consecutive wins in the Premier League, as they came from behind to extend their lead at the top of the table with a 3-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad.
An own goal from Gary Cahill in the first half had put City in the lead and on course to go top, but Chelsea fought back after the break with strikes from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard to send them four points clear at the summit.
City were reduced to nine men deep into second-half injury time after Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho were both sent off.
The defeat for City means Pep Guardiola’s side have still not won at home in the league since September 17th.
Elsewhere, Christian Benteke scored twice as Crystal Palace defeated Southampton 3-nil to ease the pressure on manager Alan Pardew.
Sunderland moved off the bottom of the table by beating Premier League champions Leicester 2-1- their third win in four matches.
Tottenham thrashed struggling Swansea 5-nil.
West Brom moved up to sixth after a 3-1 win over Watford at The Hawthorns.
Arsenal moved up to second behind Chelsea after routing West Ham 5-1.
