President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Super Falcons on their victory, at the final game of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Yaounde.
The President, who described the hard-earned victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon as well-deserved, praised the Super Falcons for winning the trophy for the 8th time.
Nigeria won the competition after a 1-0 Win over hosts Cameroon, in front of a capacity 40,000 crowd in Yaounde.
President Buhari says that the achievement has lifted the spirits of sports-loving Nigerians.
