Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way and is best known for his hit ‘Crank That’, which later inspicraze, has been arrested on a suspected probation violation after police found a firearm in his Hollywood Hills home.

Since he is on probation, he is not allowed to own or possess a firearm. Los Angeles officers walked him out of the North Hollywood station, in handcuffs, to a patrol unit, waiting to transfer him to the lockup in Van Nuys.

However, Soulja Boy is not new to having a brush with the law as he was arrested in 2011 on felony drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop in Georgia.

The rapper was also detained in 2014 for possessing a loaded gun when the police stopped him on suspicion of ignoring the stop sign.

He’s currently being held without bail.
