Onome Onokohwomo, better known by his stage name Yung6ix, has accused the organisers of the 2016 Headies Awards of tribalism and favouritism.
The release of the Headies awards nomination list has been trailed with controversies, as many have found it unsatisfactory.
Yung6ix leads the pack, as he called out the organisers of the awards show, accusing them of tribalism.
The Warri rapper is definitely unhappy with the fact that he got no nominations, despite his musical efforts throughout the year.
The 26-year-old argued that the organisers have intentionally overlooked his efforts, which he attributes to tribalism.
Yung6ix is also convinced that his hit single, ‘Respek On My Name’ deserved to be nominated in the ‘Best Rap Single’ category.
According to him, “‘Respek On My Name’ is the Biggest Hip Hop record this year #jstknw.”
Yung6ix took to Twitter, to bare his mind on the issue.
