The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu in Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo state is well-positioned to beat other aspirants in the race after the official announcement of partial results by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The former President of the Nigeria Bar Association slugged it out with the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede and that of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Chief Olusola Oke in a keenly contested poll.
Akeredolu put up a strong showing -winning in areas long established as strongholds of the ruling PDP in the state.
The Retuning Officer, Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali, announced that in Ondo East AD has 2742, APC 4253, PDP 7317 while SDP got 48. In Ile Oluji/Oke Igbo AD 4525, APC 10681, PDP 8306 and SDP 144, while in Also in Akoko North East AD has 5367, APC 13645, PDP 6496 and SDP 2478.
