Members of the Ahmed Markafi faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have continued to celebrate the Appeal Court ruling that granted Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) the leave to appeal the High Court ruling that ordered the candidacy of Jimoh Ibrahim as the candidate of the forthcoming Peoples Democratic Party in the November 26, 2016 election in the state.
Some jubilant youths thronged the party’s secretariat in Akure to celebrate the appellate court ruling.
The youths who were led by the factional youth leader, Adebayo Abayomi, said the celebration became necessary because there is hope that Jegede will participate in the election.
He expressed optimism that the party would come out victorious at the poll, saying Ibrahim is being used to destabilise the PDP.
