The Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki has made some appointments. He appointed Osarodion Ogie as Secretary to the State Government, Taiwo Akerele as Chief of Staff and John Mayaki as interim Chief Press Secretary.
The governor said the three men would be sworn in immediately.
He has also charged other civil servants in the state to brace up for maximum productivity.

Obaseki assured that his administration would build a strong civil service that would be vibrant, trustworthy, competent and reliable in spite of the glaring challenges.
