Despised by his colleagues at home, loved by others outside his fatherland. That’s the story of former House of Representatives Appropriation Chairman, Abdulmumin Jibrin.
The self-acclaimed anti-corruption crusader has been honoured by a London-based newspaper with an African Voice Leadership in Legislative Governance Award.
This is for his commitment to legislative duties and the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
On receiving the award, the lawmaker said it was a morale booster because it is coming at a very difficult and challenging period.
Jibrin was recently suspended by the House of Representatives for accusing Speaker Yakubu Dogara and other members, of fraud in the 2016 budget.
