TVC News Dooshima Abu reports that a thick fog of sorrow envelopes the atmosphere as the remains of Nigeria’s fallen heroes arrived this military cemetery.

They were among thousands of officers waging war against the insurgents in the North East of Nigeria. They fought gallantly and were victorious in their conquest.

In recent time, the Boko Haram has taken its battle to the military, killing many officers. This is amidst claim by the military that it is winning the war against the dreaded group.

Even as they grief,  people who attended the burial say they are consoled by the belief that the sacrifice made by Mu’azu Ibrahim, Hussain Jafaru, Bassey Okon, Chukwu Simon, Seaman Patrick Paul, Salihu Lawal and Lieutenant Colonel Muhammed Abu-Ali will remain evergreen in the country’s history and  the minds of Nigerians.
