Celebrities react as Trump beats Clinton to White House

Celebrities are taking to Twitter to express their disappointment at the results for the 2016 US election.

While Hillary Clinton had the support of far more celebrities, Donald Trump beat her to take White House.

Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Cher, Michael Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Whoopi Goldberg and Jessica Chastain are among many who have tweeted their frustration and concerns about Trump becoming president.

Some posts expressed hope like Katy Perry’s ‘We will never be silenced’ and ‘the revolution is coming.’
