U.S. sex misconduct : Reps clears accused members

Nigeria’s House of Representatives on Tuesday adopted the recommendations of its Ethics Committee exonerating the three members from allegations of sexual misconduct in the United States of America.
At a committee of the whole, the House also unanimously endorsed  the recommendation that the Foreign Affair Minister engages with the United States Ambassador in Nigeria to find a seamless resolution of the domestic fallout from the unfortunate incident.

The House further agreed that the Foreign Affairs Ministry write to remind the US embassy of the need to always adopt the official channel of communication in its dealings with any institution of government.

Representatives Mark Gbilah, Mohammed Gololo and Samuel Ikon were in June accused by then US  Ambassador of sexual misconduct while on a leadership programme in that country.
