Saraki loses appeal to halt CCT trial again

Senate President Bukola Saraki has once again failed to stop his trial at the Code of conduct tribunal.
Delivering judgment in the appeal filed by Saraki, the Justice Abdul Aboki-led panel of the appeal court in Abuja, affirmed the CCT’s jurisdiction to try Saraki on charges bordering on assets declaration breaches.

All the four other members of the panel unanimously agreed with the lead judgment.

This is the second time the appeal court would be delivering judgment on the same subject matter of jurisdiction of the CCT to try the Senate President.
