President Muhammadu Buhari gave away his second daughter Fatima Buhari‘s hand in marriage yesterday – on Friday in the groom’s hometown of Daura, Katsina.
Yesterday, she became the fourth wife of 57 year old Mallam Gimba Ya’u Kumo, who was a former Managing Director of Mortgage Bank, and he paid N100,000 as the bride price.
Guests included Governors of Bauchi and Gombe state, as well as numerous Senators and Ministers. Several of the invitees drove straight to the Emir of Daura’s palace, Alhaji Umar Farouq, to pay homage before proceeding to the venue of the wedding.
