President Muhammadu Buhari has approved funds to enable the Nigeria Football Federation make travel arrangements ahead of the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Ndola on Sunday.
Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, confirmed this in Abuja on Thursday amid reports the team might be stranded in Nigeria.
Some top officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and some members of the National Assembly will make the trip to Ndola, along with the 23 players and 15 officials.
Meanwhile, the NFF has revealed that the Eagles would travel to Zambia on Saturday, a day before the match.
