The Presidency says it is awaiting the passage of the Medium Term Expenditure Framework, MTEF, by the National Assembly before it presents the 2017 budget to the parliament.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang disclosed this at a press briefing on Friday where he commended the federal government for ongoing implementation of the 2016 budget despite financial challenges.
On the issues raised by the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory over some omissions from the ambassadorial list, the presidential aide promised that President Muhammadu Buhari will address the issue in due course.
