Nigerian visual artists to be celebrated at Art X’s maiden edition

Visual Artists in Nigeria will be celebrated at the first edition of the Art X; bringing together over 65 artists from across the continent.

The initiative that will merge the visual arts with music hopes to widen Nigeria’s connection to the contemporary art scene across Africa and internationally.

According to the convener, the visual arts lacks a platform to consolidate its role as an important component of the creative industry unlike movies and music where festivals are used to showcase talents.
