Kano Pillars delay decision on new coach

Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars, are not in a hurry to appoint a new head coach following Mohammed Babaganaru’s resignation.

The former champions were held to a 1-1 draw by Niger Tornadoes in their final league fixture.

Pillars did not finish in the top 10 this season, which is widely regarded as a failure for the four-time winners.

Babaganaru only extended his contract with Sai Masugida in January this year. He joined them from Nasarawa United in the middle of last season.

He was not able to lead Pillars to a successful defence of their title as they finished in eighth place.

However, Media officer of the club, Idris Malikawa, revealed that the management of the club is yet to commence the process of looking for a new coach.
