House of Reps seeks bailout for Automobile Industry

Nigeria’s House of Representatives has called for a bailout for the automobile industry.

The legislators believe financial assistance from the Nigerian government will go a long way in creating an enabling environment for automobile manufacturers to operate.

The lawmakers agreed to interface with relevant stakeholders in the industry with a view to finding a lasting solution to the challenges in the sector.

Representative Saheed Akinade-Fijabi drew his colleagues’ attention to the need for the country to boost the nation’s automotive industry as a way of contributing to the national economy.
