Actor Mr. Latin: ‘I was not robbed’

TVC E. Ace Yoruba movie comedian, Bolaji Amusan, popularly called Mr. Latin has refuted a report that he was attacked by suspected armed robbers on his way to participate in a radio programme in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The report trended on the social media that the comedian was robbed and physically manhandled at Guru-Maharaj axis along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The report added that Mr. Amusan lost some cash and personal effects, including his mobile phones.

In a swift response through a social media known as Penpushing platform, the actor said although he was one of the motorists who ran into a road block the bandits mounted on the expressway, he was not robbed.

Mr. Amusan said on being made aware of the presence of the bandits, he escaped into the bush with other travellers.

He said he was actually going to a film location and continued his journey after the bandits withdrew from the crime scene.

“I was not robbed. I ran into the armed robbers but escaped into the bush with many people”, he said on the platform.

“I am hale and hearty and nothing was removed from my car. My phone and everything are with me on location @ Ibadan”, Amusan explained.
