Following the growing spate of abduction of students from their schools by gunmen across the country, Police in Abia state has initiated proactive measures that will prevent such occurrence in the state.
Addressing newsmen, the commissioner of Police in the state, Leye Oyebade reiterates the resolve of the state command to take proactive action that will guarantee the safety of students both in and outside school premises.
Mr Oyebade said that the recent abduction of some teachers and students in Lagos state is one that the police will not over look, hence the need to adopt new strategy that will checkmate and nip in the bud any such plans by criminals in the state.
