The real-life drama which tells the captivating story on how Nigeria was able to courageously contain the Ebola pandemic , 93 Days, is set to premiere at the Chicago International Film Festival 2016, on Thursday, 20th October 2016, at the AMC River East 21, E. Illinois Street Chicago.
According to reports, it is the only Nollywood movie that will be featured there.
This is coming after its recent premiere in Nigeria and at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2016.
The movie title signifies the period Nigeria experienced its first case of Ebola to the day the World Health Organisation declared the nation Ebola free, said Pemon Rami, the movie’s producer.
“The real life heroes whose stories are told in 93 Days should always be remembered and celebrated,” said Rami.
“I commend my producing partners: Bolanle Austen Peters, DotunOlakunri and Steve Gukas for a job well done. Having the USA premiere in Chicago, my home town is incredible for me and the city.”
Directed by award-winning movie director, Steve Gukas, 93 Days, stars local and international stars like Danny Glover, Bimbo Akintola, Tim Reid, SomkeleIyamahIdhalama, Alastair Mackenzie, KeppyEkpenyongBassey, Bimbo Manuel, Charles Okafor, Tina Mba, Gideon Okeke, Paul Adams, Francis Onwochei and others.
The movie is currently showing in cinemas nationwide.
