The two factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)in Ondo are exchanging words over an attack on the campaign office of Jimoh Ibrahim in Akure the state capital.
The Ali Modu Sheriff camp which has Ibrahim as its standard bearer blamed the Senator Markafi group for the attack.
Suspected political thugs had on Saturday’s night attacked the campaign office of Ibrahim as a big banner bearing the picture of the PDP candidate was pulled off the wall of the one-storey office.
Pieces of the banner and the party’s flags which were said to have been installed on Saturday’s morning littered the front of the office.
The State Chairman of the Sheriff camp, Biyi Poroye accused the other PDP group of the attack, describing it as unfortunate.
But the Publicity Director of the Markafi group,Ayo Fadaka exonerated the faction of carrying out the attack.
