The factional Chairman of the Ali Modu Sheriff camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state, Biyi Poroye says business man, Jimoh Ibrahim remains the recognised governorship candidate of the the party.
Poroye told reporters in Akure after a meeting with party members from the eighteen local councils of the state, said Ibrahim’s name has been submitted to the Independent National electoral Commission (INEC).
He said Ibrahim’s name was endorsed by the National Chairman and Secretary of the party which he claimed was accepted by the electoral body.
The PDP factional chairman who described the recent reconciliatory meeting between the two PDP factions as a welcome development, said any time the crisis is finally resolved, Ibrahim will be adopted by the two camps.
Poroye added that Ibrahim’s campaign programme will be flagged off in all the eighteen local councils to ensure that the party comes out victorious in the November 26 governorship poll.
