The wife of the candidate of All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State, Betsy Obaseki has debunked claims by one Mrs Evelyn Igbafe that she labelled all Edo women prostitutes in a press interview.Mrs Evelyn Igbafe who is of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP fold in Edo State had early this week during a media briefing in Benin City alleged that Mrs Obaseki called all Edo women prostitutes in a press interview.
This is in a bid to instigate the Edo women not to vote for her husband and candidate of APC in the rescheduled governorship election.
But Mr Obaseki’s wife who spoke through the APC women’s Leader in the State, Aisosa Amadasun in Benin City today says there is no iota of truth in the claim.
All efforts by TVC News Crew to get reaction from Mrs Igbafe following this latest clarification by the APC women leader proved abortive.
She did not respond to any of the calls we repeatedly made to her.
