Clashes between pastoralists and farmers in Nigeria, may likely escalate to something bigger if something is not done fast to address the situation.
This is the submission from a research sponsored by the UK government in the northern states of Kaduna, Katsina and Zamfara.
The researchers converged with farmers and pastoralists on Kaduna, northern Nigeria’s capital where they said communities spanning several kilometers are now bereft of human beings.
According to the study, pastoralists from other countries who gain easy access into the country is worsening the situation.
They want the government to churn policies, and partner relevant agencies to ensure the issue is addressed fast.
