Nigerians have been advised to work more on things that will unite them rather than things that will divide the country based on ethnic and religious lines.
The former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Dahiru Musdapher and the Speaker of the House of representatives Yakubu Dogara made this clarion call at a birthday programme in honour of the father of the former Speaker of the House of representatives, Dimeji Bankole.
They urged politicians to continue to toe the line of peace and development and forget about things that will not promote unity and progress of the country.
The event which paraded notable politicians and traditional rulers across the country serves as a wake up call for political office holders, both at the executive and legislative arm to practice politics without bitterness.
