Diddy donates $1m to Howard University for students who can’t pay off debt

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs gifted Howard University a $1m cheque during his Bad Boy Reunion tour last night.

The ‘It’s All About The Benjamins’ rapper noted that the money was to start a scholarship for ‘anybody who can’t pay off his or her financial aid.’

Diddy received an honorary doctorate degree from the college in 2014, despite dropping out after two years of study in the late ’80s.

The hip-hop mogul delivered the Washington, D.C.-based school’s commencement address before he was presented with the degree.

He is one of five trailblazers to receive such an honour from the university.

On Thursday, Combs was scheduled to give a gift during his show at the Verizon Center in D.C., but no one was aware of the donation until he announced it at the venue.
