It seems the Nigerian airforce’s recent victories over Boko Haram had the backing of divinity.
The Commander of the Airforce base in Yola, Air-commodore Haruna Muhammed has acknowledged this much, thanking Nigerians for their prayers, which he says aided the decimation of Boko Haram.
He assured the citizens that the ongoing bombardment of Sambisa forest wouldn’t stop, until it becomes free of terrorists.
Muhammed, while addressing his officers and men after the 3rd Quarter Road work urged them to be at alert since Nigerians are not expecting anything less than defeat of the insurgency.
He maintained that the Chief of the Air Staff is committed to ensuring continued onslaught until the last insurgent is brought down.
He commended his men’s efforts in the ongoing war against insurgents.
Some of the troops who spoke with TVC News affirmed their readiness to keep fighting for their fatherland, adding that they are physically fit.
Air Commodore Muhammed charged his men to be vigilant and maintain the current tempo of bombardment of the enemy.
Air Men from the Yola base have been playing a key role since the beginning of the military campaign in Nigeria’s North East against the terror group, Boko Haram.
