Lupus is a chronic disease in which a person’s body is attacked by the immune system, which normally fights infections and foreign invaders. In simpler words, Selena’s immune system is a little confused, and is attacking her organs instead of fighting infections. Weird!
Questions about the 24-year-old’s health were first raised in 2013, when she cancelled a tour of Asia and Australia. Back then people assumed she was dealing with drug abuse. Selena had however later revealed sometimes last year that she was undergoing chemotherapy as she was suffering from lupus.
