Some of Nigeria’s best athletes would converge on Lagos on Thursday for the second edition of the Top Sprinter Athletics Championship.
Just back from Rio 2016 Olympics, sprinter Divine Oduduru and Okupe Erayokan, will join more than 700 junior and senior athletes to take part in the competition at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
The 2016 Top Sprinter event will combine with the annual Lagos Relays competition.
As much as two million Naira is up for grabs in the competition which last year discovered Precious Moses, who now competes for Bahrain.
The Top Sprinter would also provide a test for the first two athletes to secure a corporate sponsorship under a new Scholarship scheme for outstanding athletes from the competition.
The junior athletes will be competing under the watchful eyes of former Olympians, Deji Aliu, Glory Alozie and Uchenna Emedolu.
