Tuesday, September 6.Quadri was impressive in Rio 2016, beating fifth-seeded playerChih-Yuan Chuang in the third round and German Boll Timoin the fourth to make it to the quarter-finals where he lost to world number one, Long Ma.
He rose from 40th to 25th, in the latest table tennis world rankings released by ITTF on Tuesday, September 6.
With this rise, he becomes the first African tennis player to be in the top 25.
The 28-year-old is also set to play in the 2016 ITTF Men’s World Cup after he was included in the 20-man list for the Liebherr 2016 ITTF Men’s World Cup to be held in Saarbrucken, Germany.
