ABC “Mistresses” cancels show after four seasons

TVC E. On Sunday, September 9, 2016, ABC announced that “Mistresses” will not return for a fifth season.

 

The fourth season which wrapped up on September 6, 2016, is officially the show’s  finale. The finale ended with the death original series star Yunjin Kim’s Karen.

The show ended its fourth season with 2.5 million total viewers, half of its series debut.

Based on a popular UK TV series of the same name, “Mistresses” follows the scandalous — and steamy — lives of a sassy group of female friends. As the women navigate romantic relationships complete with excitement, betrayal and secrecy, and explore their own boundaries, they turn to each other for support and guidance.

The series which premiered in 2013, starred  Alyssa Milano, Rochelle Aytes, Yunjin Kim, Jes Macallan, Jennifer Esposito and Tabrett Bethell in the lead roles.
